The Green Finger project

When Haakon and Mette-Marit were holidaying up at Svalbard, they also met with some young adults on the WWF arranged expedition “Voyage for the future.”

They participated in the Green Finger project; they painted a finger green and wrote in the palm of their hands what they’d like to save from global warming. Haakon wrote dignity, and Mette-Marit, unsurprisingly, wrote “my kids”.

The video is out on YouTube. Haakon and Mette-Marit’s contributions are towards the end, but I recommend viewing it all, as the video is quite thought-provoking, and inspiring, even without the royal participation.

I also find it inspirational when they use of their holiday time to participate in such projects.
